Ever heard of EPIX? Well, its official website describes the service as “the big new movie channel that's more than just a big new movie channel,” but you can call it the latest streaming service coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
A cable channel packing content from Paramount, Lionsgate and MGM, EPIX will arrive as an app on the PS3 during the first quarter of 2013 and on the Vita sometime in the spring. It’ll bring on-demand movies and shows, but it’ll only work for you if you’re already subscribed to EPIX via your cable provider. It’s like the relationship between HBO and HBO Go – you can’t get a standalone subscription to it, you need cable.
Also, Thinner is available via EPIX. That movie is rad.
