The League Renewed for Season 5 13 more episodes are coming in 2013.

Just a few hours before its two-part season finale airs Thursday night, FX has announced The League has been renewed for Season 5.

"The League is flat-out one of the funniest shows on television," said FX’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming, Nick Grad. "Co-creators Jeff and Jackie Schaffer have such a perfect take on the material and the show has an amazingly talented ensemble cast of stars. Another season was an easy decision and we hope to have it on our schedule for many more years to come."

Jackie Schaffer said, "It's a dream job - we get to make a show we love with a brilliant cast on a fearless network. If the Mayans and Dirty Randy are right and the world ends tomorrow, at least we can say we made it to Season 5."

Season 5 will consist of 13 episodes. While no scheduling was announced, with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia already renewed for Season 9 next year, it seems likely FX will keep the two series paired together in the fall once again.
